Interior Housing Unit that Intersects with the Tempelhof Structure
The fourth floor holds the rest of the housing units. This floor also shows the interaction of the old Tempelhof truss structure and the new building. The walls of this floor as well as the others are made through the insertion of blocks, similar in size and shape to the blocks of the old Tempelhof building, into concrete. This causes these newly formed walls to look and feel ruiness, which plays on a user’s assumption of what new construction should look like.
